Yes, it happens. We were approached to build an entire turnkey housing development, all at once, quickly and at high volume. We considered it and declined.
Why? Because we focus on quality, not scale. We build homes for people, not square metres for statistics. Every project we undertake means attention to detail, an individual approach and an honest result. In mass construction, it is too easy to lose what clients value us for.

Why we do not accept every workload
Volume is not a goal in itself. It matters more to us that we can maintain quality control, organise the work and take responsibility for every project.
A large workload makes sense only when management, quality control and responsibility for the result can be maintained.
Common mistakes
A housing development is more than a collection of houses. It is a separate system of management, procurement, schedule control, communication and responsibility to many clients.
Another risk is relying solely on other people's experience without considering your own site, design and family's needs. General construction advice often needs to be adapted to specific conditions.
What this means for the client
- the team is not spread across an unmanageable workload;
- quality remains more important than project numbers;
- the project receives more attention to detail;
- promises remain realistic.
Why mass construction complicates quality control
More simultaneous projects mean greater demands on management, logistics, crew supervision and consistent standards. If the system cannot preserve quality, it is better to decline in advance.
Even if a decision has already been made, review it before work starts on site: clarify the limitations, related work, material requirements and impact on the home's future use.
