Project description
In the 168 m² single-storey Chernikhov house, the living accommodation and garage are united beneath a coordinated group of pitched roofs. Dark metal roof tiles, exterior brick walls and light-coloured cornice lines create a traditional country-home appearance. Small gables highlight individual facade sections and add variety to the entrance side.
Aerated concrete walls stand behind the clay brick facing. The combination uses the thermal insulation of aerated concrete while preserving a classical masonry texture outside. A reinforced concrete slab forms the base of the house, while the upper floor structure is timber. The single-storey arrangement keeps the structure and everyday use of the house relatively straightforward.
Metal roof tiles suit the familiar geometry of the slopes and emphasise the shape of each roof section. A consistent dark roof covering connects the garage wing to the living accommodation, while the light-coloured soffit clearly separates the roof from the brickwork. This helps volumes of different heights appear as parts of one building.
The design has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a sauna, garage and terrace. The floor area is distributed between living rooms and additional spaces for relaxation and household activities. This arrangement is particularly convenient for those who value rooms on one level and access to a private sauna within their home.
