Project description
Skuratov is a 365 m² house with a dark clinker brick facade and a distinctive hipped roof. Tall windows and elongated glazed openings stand out against the restrained masonry. The lower canopy echoes the main roof form, giving even this large building a cohesive, unified appearance.
The walls are built with aerated concrete. This material combines masonry construction with the low thermal conductivity of the wall block, while clinker brick facing provides the exterior texture. The dark brick tone connects the facade with the roof and window frames; glass and its bright reflections provide the main contrast.
Asphalt roofing is used for the roof. Asphalt shingles suit roofs with multiple slopes and junctions, and their fine pattern complements the brickwork. The house foundation is a reinforced concrete slab, and the floors are cast-in-place reinforced concrete. These materials form the structure concealed behind the restrained exterior.
The two storeys accommodate four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The study provides a separate place to work, the sauna adds to relaxation at home, and the double-height space gives the shared area greater volume. The terrace, garage and canopy extend the home's functions beyond its living rooms, separating relaxation, parking and everyday household tasks.
