Project description
The Brodskiy house demonstrates how distinctive single-storey architecture can be. With a floor area of 243 m², the building retains a low silhouette while featuring extensive glazing and volumes of different heights. Light-coloured and grey facade sections alternate with vertical windows, while the landscaped plot emphasises the house's length.
The walls use aerated concrete, the foundation is a reinforced concrete slab, and the floor structure is cast-in-place reinforced concrete. Aerated concrete serves as the wall material here, while facade panels create the exterior pattern. Panel finishes suit large planes, creating restrained blocks of colour and emphasising the boundaries of architectural volumes.
The flat roof avoids a tall pitched upper structure and reinforces the building's contemporary character. The straight parapet lines are clearly visible on the facade, linking parts of the house of different heights. Against this background, large windows become the main accent and strengthen the visual connection between the interior and garden.
The floor plan includes three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The generous floor area is arranged on one storey, making living and ancillary rooms accessible without stairs. The terrace continues this idea: indoor and outdoor relaxation share the same everyday route, and the courtyard feels like a natural extension of the home.
