Project description
The 524 m² Minkus is a large two-storey house with extended horizontal lines and several connected volumes. Dark masonry, light-coloured bands and large glazed areas divide the facade into clearly defined parts. The stepped roof silhouette breaks down the building's scale, revealing individual sections in sequence as you move along the house.
The walls are brick, with finishes in long-format brick and decorative render. Long-format facing brick supports the horizontal composition, while smooth light-coloured surfaces highlight the edges and boundaries of the volumes. This combination suits a large facade: textured areas add depth, while light-coloured lines connect different parts of the building.
Standing seam roofing suits the precise character of the architecture. Its linear pattern suits the elongated proportions of the house and gives the large volumes a restrained upper finish. A strip foundation and cast-in-place reinforced concrete floors form the structural base; masonry walls and broad glazed areas create a combination of solid and open surfaces.
The accommodation includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a study, garage and terrace. The large floor area allows separate spaces for different daily activities: private rooms, work, parking and outdoor relaxation. Extensive glazing makes the surrounding landscape part of the experience of the house, while the terrace allows gatherings to continue outdoors.
