Project description
Plotkin accommodates a two-storey family home with four bedrooms and three bathrooms within 185 m². Despite the relatively compact main volume, the facade is varied: light-coloured planes alternate with timber finishes, tall windows and dark accents. The covered outdoor area connects the entrance with the space beside the house.
Aerated concrete is used for the walls, while facade panels and timber boards form the exterior composition. Panels create large, restrained surfaces; timber accents highlight selected areas and introduce a human scale at close range. Alternating finishes gives the compact house character without numerous projections or decorative elements.
Standing seam roofing complements the defined eaves lines and contemporary facade pattern. Its lengthwise seams reinforce the orderly geometry, and the covering has no need to imitate small decorative details. A reinforced concrete foundation slab and cast-in-place reinforced concrete floors complete the two-storey structure.
The principal bedroom suite defines the private part of the house, while the other rooms can be allocated to children and guests. The terrace extends the shared area beyond the interior rooms. This layout provides several independent living rooms while retaining space for shared relaxation and a direct connection to the plot.
