Project description
The 239 m² Serov house combines a light-coloured brick texture with tall dark timber accents. Vertical sections of cladding and large windows make the two-storey facade appear more slender, while broad cornices provide a horizontal counterbalance. The covered entrance on posts forms a distinct part of the composition and connects the building to the courtyard.
The walls are aerated concrete, with clinker brick and timber facade board cladding. The materials have different visual roles here: clinker brick creates a light-coloured background with fine joint lines, while timber boards highlight large vertical sections. Alternating textures organise the long facade and emphasise the window arrangement without elaborate exterior decoration.
Dark metal roof tiles unite the roof slopes and repeat the colour of timber accents and window frames. Projecting cornices cast a distinct shadow over the light-coloured walls, giving them greater depth. The structural scheme includes a strip foundation and cast-in-place reinforced concrete floors; the two-storey arrangement accommodates a variety of rooms within a relatively compact building.
The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a study, sauna and terrace. Private rooms are complemented by separate spaces for work and relaxation. The terrace extends these functions outdoors, providing space for a family meal or an evening gathering in the open air. The design combines extensive accommodation with a distinctive facade based on two main textures.
